The Machalilla National Park is a protected area along the Ecuadorian coast in the Manabi province. It is located South of the Mirador San Jose near Puerto Lopez and the small parish Machalilla. The Machalilla National Park has many beaches, forests and islands.

When travelling along the coast you will notice many small fishing boats. The main business for lots of small villages is fishing. The Ecuadorian waters are filled with an array of fish including weevil gacho, wahoo, yellowfin tune, big eye tuna, cherna, dorado, sierra, silver croaker, murico, grouper, robalo and huayaipe.

This sport fishing excursion is for the outdoor enthusiasts. The tour leaves from Puerto Lopez and will include a boat with all of the safety elements, a boat captain, a sailor and food equipment. This is a half day tour.

We recommend you bring appropriate clothing to perform the activity which can include long sleeve shirt, a wind jacket, a sweater and perhaps some gloves. Bring some water, snacks and some sunscreen.
